Here’s what Alabama requires for chiropractic license renewal — and how DC Hours helps you meet it. Always confirm the latest rules with your state board.

Total Hours

18 hours every year, due September 30

Mandatory Subject Areas

2 hours must be in the topic of Alabama Rules and Regulations

Online CE Policy

8 of the required 18 hours are allowed to be completed online (6 hours plus 2 hours of Alabama Law and Board Rules are allowed to be completed online).

Additional Notes

PLEASE NOTE: Amended Rule 190-X-2-.11: Beginning October 1, 2026, all licensees practicing in Alabama must obtain their two hours of AL Law CE credit at ASBCE facilitated in-person events. Practitioners holding inactive licenses and first-year licensees may still receive online CE credit for AL Law courses. DC Hours is PACE Approved and State Board Approved.
