Total Hours

40 hours every 2 years (even years), due March 31

Mandatory Subject Areas

2 Hours of Medical Errors; 2 Hours of Laws and Rules; 1 Hour of Risk Management (Note: Chiropractic Risk Management Recordkeeping and Compliance counts as 1 hour of Risk Management and 2 hours of Record keeping/documentation and coding); 6 Hours of Record Keeping/Documentation and Coding (Note: Chiropractic Coding & Compliance for a Health Practice does NOT currently fall under this category for Florida); 2 Hours of Ethics and Boundaries.

Additional Notes

First Biennium Renewal: Chiropractic Physicians initially licensed in the biennium and renewing a license for the first time are required to complete six (6) hours of record keeping/documentation and coding, two (2) hours in the area of ethics and boundaries, a two (2) hour course relating to prevention of medical errors, and one (1) hour of HIV/AIDS (first biennium renewal only; no DC Hours courses meet this requirement).
